Ivo Pogorelich, whose debut recitals in London, Paris, Madrid, Brussels, Milan, Rome, Tel Aviv and New York’s Carnegie Hall are legendary, returned to the concert circuit in 2007 following a short break. Martha Argerich who called him “a genius”, is an advocate of the gifted pianist who will undertake a long list of recital and concert engagements in Europe and tours to Japan and South America. An exclusive Deutsche Grammophon artist, he has made over 15 recordings and in 2006 he started publishing his material on DVD. We are delighted to welcome Mr. Pogorelich to perform the final concert in The Irish Times Celebrity Concert Series 2009/2010 which will bring this exciting series to a fitting climax.
